At a distance of 7.5 km from Poiana Brasov, Valea Cetatii Cave (located in the natural reservation of the same name) is an exceptional tourist attraction located a close to the Fortified Fortress of Râșnov.
The small lakes that mirror enigmatic formations perfectly shaped by water and air surround an imposing Cathedral hall which, with its over 30,000 cubic meters, opens to the eyes a fairytale ceiling with volutes and white limestone arches as you can rarely see in the world. Dino Parc Râșnov is the largest dinosaur park in South-Eastern Europe, but also an open-air museum, unique in Romania. Located near Râșnov Fortress, the park has an area of 3,5 hectares and hosts 100 scientifically certified dinosaurs, life-size reproduced according to the latest paleontological discoveries.

In addition, the park also has playgrounds for children, tree houses with science exhibitions, a 9D cinema and a 360° cinema, adventure trails, zip line, laser maze, soundbox, unique exhibitions and more interactive areas. Join us for a guided tour at Bran Castle, the most famous castle in Romania and a visit to a local craftsman house where you will see how painted eggs are made and what’s the story behind traditional clothing. Bran Castle is located at the foothills of Bucegi Mountains, surrounded by sharp cliffs and forests, it inspired Bram Stocker to place Dracula’s story here. In this tour, Dracula’s myth is to be discovered together with true stories about the place and the surroundings and of course, the real man who’s bloody way of being became a source of dark stories. You’ll get to decide in the end who to be scared of: count Dracula or Vlad the Impaler?

A. Transylvanian Wood Painting – a workshop of discovery, playfulness, creativity, colors and tradition! Meet our local craftsman, learn from her and create your own souvenir to be proud of and to bring back home. You will meet the local artist and discover her passion (it is contagious!). You will decorate your own object under her guidance exploring floral patterns, models and their meaning as this is how saxons would decorate their furniture and day to day objects.

Ticket price is 30 eur and includes: local craftsman demonstration and guidance, translator, all working materials, 1 prepared wood object that you will paint as keep as a souvenir. The workshop is organized for a group of min 5 pers and max 15.

B. Clay modeling Workshop – A local ceramist is here with a lot of passion, inspiration and clay to play! You will learn to model it into different figures, a vase or a cup using old techniques or getting some inspiration from nature.

A relaxing and fun experience that you will enjoy! You will create your own souvenir and a great memory about your trip to Romania.

C. Egg painting demonstration – A local craftsman will be explaining not just how it’s done but also why, what’s the meaning of the colours, the lines or symbols of numerous eggs and traditional local costumes she gathered from her old granny or created herself . The egg transforms into a new, almost unlimited world of stunning patterns and strong symbols connected not only with the Easter heritage, but much older than that: with the entire family, village and ultimately life.

You will be able to see technique at all stages and even try your hand on an egg. You won’t be able to actually make your own egg as this takes about 3 hours to draw, paint and dry repeatedly for each color but you will receive a painted egg made by the craftsman.

Ticket price is 18 eur and includes: local craftsman demonstration, translator, 1 painted egg made by the artist. The workshop is organized for a group of min 6 pers and max 25 persons.

Hiking
