What and why?

The C4E Champion Award is organized by C4E Forum organizers to recognize extraordinary contribution of public officials in Central and Eastern Europe to progressing energy efficiency policies in their country or region. The Award ceremony will be part of the C4E Forum program on May 23-26, 2023 in Šamorín, Slovakia.

Who and what for?

Public official from central, regional or municipal government or public institution, agency or authority active in energy efficiency policies for a minimum of 3 years can be nominated. We seek one nomination per country – see below how.

Each nominee – one per country – receives a fee-waiver to participate in 2023 C4E Forum. Winner and potential runner up get a fee-waiver to participate in the next C4E Forum, too – along with a worth-to-place-in-office artefact.

We guarantee the super-early-bird fee for all nominated public officials who are not short listed, e.g. because there were more than one nominations per country. That is a spectacular benefit on its own, given that super-early-bird fee was due before end of January 2023!

How?

Nomination process will run in two phases. In phase one, we invite anyone to send us a nomination proposal using a simple form (download here) by March 10, 2023. In phase two, we will scan the proposals and ask you to finalize the nomination documents and if there are more proposals from one country, we will interlink nominating parties and ask them to agree on one national nomination. All this by April 15. The jury will meet and decide the winner and potentially a runner up before the C4E Forum where our heroes will be celebrated and awarded!
